Our promises

Free where it counts

Every look, photos and video, clean exports — free. No watermark, no catch.

Private by default

On-device first. The cloud is opt-in, and it's the only thing that ever costs.

Pay only for compute — or earn it

Cloud workflows cost compute — buy it, or earn credit by sharing your Tael with our mark.

No nickel-and-diming

We won't lock everyday features behind a paywall to upsell you. Ever.

Why we built Tael

We got tired of apps that hand you a “free” version, then quietly fence off the obvious things — like only letting you use photos unless you pay, or stamping a watermark on your work. That's not free. That's bait.

So Tael's deal is simple and honest:

The essentials are free

Every cinematic look, photos and video, beat-synced editing, and clean exports with no watermark — all free. We won't lock your everyday workflow behind a paywall to push an upgrade.

Private by default

Everything that can run on your phone does — editing, grading, rendering. Your photos and videos don't leave your device, there's no account to make a film, and it all works offline. Tael is as private as you want it to be.

You pay only for compute

Some high-end workflows genuinely need more horsepower than a phone has. Those run in the cloud — and only when you choose to reach for them. When you do, you pay for the compute that work uses. There's no subscription to use the basics, and nothing leaves your phone unless you ask it to.

Earn your compute

Your exports are clean and watermark-free by default — we never force our brand onto your work. But if you're proud of a Tael, you can choose to share it with our little mark on it, and we'll drop some cloud-compute credit into your account. You help people discover Tael; we help you do more. Entirely optional, always your call.

No nickel-and-diming

We'd rather earn the few dollars of compute from people doing ambitious things than squeeze everyone for the ordinary ones. That's the whole idea.

Make your first Tael

Free, private, no account. Every trip's a Tael.
