Last updated July 22, 2026. These terms are provided by Tael, a product of Karma-X.

Agreement and eligibility

By using Tael's website, cloud account, AI tools, or Meeting Recorder, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you cannot legally agree to these Terms, a parent or legal guardian must agree for you where permitted. If you use Tael for an organization, you represent that you can bind that organization.

The app and hosted services

Tael's core app is free software released under the MIT License. Use, modification, and distribution of that source code are governed by the license included with it. Tael's hosted account, purchase, AI, website, and meeting services are separate services governed by these Terms.

Your account

You are responsible for access to your email account and devices, for activity performed with your Tael credentials, and for providing accurate purchase information. Do not share bearer tokens or attempt to use another person's account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. We may rate-limit sign-in or rotate and revoke tokens to protect accounts and the service.

Your content

You retain your rights in the photos, videos, audio, prompts, and projects you submit. You grant Tael a limited, non-exclusive license to host, copy, transform, transmit, and otherwise process that content only as needed to deliver, secure, troubleshoot, and support the feature you requested. This license ends when the content is deleted from our systems, subject to limited legal and operational retention described in the Privacy Policy.

You must have the rights and permissions needed for the content you submit, including permission to use another person's image, voice, or likeness. Tael does not claim ownership of your inputs or generated results. Rights in an AI-generated result can vary by law and may be affected by third-party rights; results are not guaranteed to be unique.

AI services and human review

Cloud AI tools are probabilistic and sometimes experimental. Results may be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, offensive, or inconsistent with the source. Creative video tools may change aspect, identity, motion, or details and may introduce visual artifacts. Transcripts, speaker labels, captions, summaries, and action drafts can contain errors.

You are responsible for reviewing results before publishing, relying on, or acting on them. Tael does not provide legal, medical, financial, employment, or other professional advice. Action Center exports drafts for human review; Tael does not automatically send email or create calendar events, tasks, or reminders.

Meeting Recorder

You may use Meeting Recorder only when you have the notice and consent required by the laws, policies, employment rules, and agreements that apply to everyone being recorded. Do not use it for covert or unlawful surveillance. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting transcripts and drafts, and for deciding whether to share or act on them.

Collaborative Multi-Cam events

Cloud Multi-Cam lets an event host invite or approve contributors who choose specific clips to upload. Contributors grant Tael the limited right to privately store, inspect for safety and technical compatibility, sanitize, and transfer those clips to the event host for the collaboration they selected. A contributor retains ownership of a clip, but withdrawing or deleting it cannot recall a copy the host already downloaded.

Event hosts must review every contribution before import or publication. Joining an event does not by itself grant any copyright, music, performance, publicity, privacy, venue, or recording right. Contributors must have the rights, notices, and permissions required to record and contribute their clip. Hosts must have the rights and permissions required to combine, edit, publish, and distribute the finished work. Do not upload an entire library or another person's media without permission.

Use a per-event display label that does not expose information you do not want event members to see. Listed events may be found using text, date, city, or venue information. Tael does not provide private messaging or automatically share a contributor's email or account identifier. Users can report events, members, or contributions and block another member. Tael may review reports, reject or quarantine material, close an event, or suspend access. Reported material may be preserved when reasonably needed for review or legal compliance.

AI credits and purchases

  • Cloud workflows may require prepaid Tael AI credits. The product surface identifies the applicable cost or estimate. A job may temporarily reserve credits while it runs.
  • An acknowledged failed or unavailable workflow is not intended to consume its final charge; a temporary reservation may take time to clear. Completed jobs consume the stated credits even when you dislike or choose not to use the result.
  • Credits are consumable, have no cash value, are not transferable, and cannot be resold. Promotional or free credits may expire or be changed when their offer says so.
  • Purchases made through Apple, Google, or Stripe are also subject to that provider's billing and refund rules. Prices and taxes may vary by platform or region.
  • Approved refunds, chargebacks, canceled purchases, or voided transactions may reverse the corresponding credit grant. We may restrict further purchases or use while a payment dispute or negative adjustment is unresolved.
  • Deleting your account permanently forfeits unused credits. Except where required by law or a payment platform's rules, unused credits are not refundable.

Acceptable use and community guidelines

Do not use Tael to:

  • break the law, violate privacy or intellectual-property rights, or ignore required recording or likeness consent;
  • create or distribute child sexual abuse material, non-consensual intimate imagery, sexual exploitation, or content that facilitates abuse of a minor;
  • harass, threaten, defraud, impersonate, deceive, or materially harm another person;
  • introduce malware, probe or bypass security, interfere with the service, scrape it at scale, or evade account, moderation, credit, or rate limits; or
  • misrepresent AI output as verified fact or use it where an error could foreseeably cause serious harm without appropriate qualified review.

We may refuse a request, remove hosted material, limit features, suspend an account, or preserve and disclose information when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect people or the service, or comply with law.

Third-party services and assets

Tael may interoperate with operating-system features, app stores, payment processors, email delivery, AI infrastructure, or links controlled by others. Their terms and privacy practices apply to their services. Fonts, color LUTs, sample music, and other bundled assets remain subject to the licenses documented with the project.

Service changes and termination

We may add, change, pause, or discontinue features, prices, credit costs, limits, or beta access. We do not guarantee that every feature or provider will always be available or that stored output links will remain available indefinitely. You may stop using Tael at any time and may delete your cloud account. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including payment adjustments, disclaimers, and liability limits, remain in effect.

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tael's hosted services and software are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, or error-free output. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or warranties that cannot legally be excluded. The MIT License contains the warranty disclaimer that applies to the open-source software.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tael and Karma-X will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from the service. Our aggregate liability for a claim relating to the paid hosted services will not exceed the amount you paid Tael for those services during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.

Changes

We may update these Terms as the service changes. We will update the date above and give additional notice when required. Your continued use after updated Terms take effect means you accept them; if you do not agree, stop using the hosted services and delete your account.
